Rife putters. Anyone using them?

I am interested in a putter upgrade. Had the same old Ping for years. Lots of technology out since then. Going to try one out. Saw the Rife infomercial on the GC the other day. Anyone heard much about these or better yet, used one. Thanks for any thoughts.

I use a Rife Antigua and love it. It's a blade in the Anser style so if you were using something similar from Ping you might want to check it out. It's got a really great feel compared to some of the other putters I've used and the roll grooves do seem to make a difference. You should also check out Yes! putters for similar technology, they make some nice sticks and have a bit wider range of styles than Rife, but for me, I won't be taking my Rife out of the bag any time soon.

I used to play a rife mr beasly for about a month. It does roll the ball as advertised, but the mid mallet style was bad for me and i ended up throwing the damn thing into the street. I hope that helps...

I have the Barbados and it strikes a nice balance between firm and soft as regard to feel. The face balanced putters may or may not work for you, but if you prefer mallets, give the Barbados a serious test - not just a putt or two.

My opinion fwiw, is that these are way underrated. And the black one simpley looks great as well - gotta love your putter!

I should have mentioned in my original post, the Ping Anser is what I have used for so many years and it is in fact the Rife Antigua (or Aussie) I am interested in. The "roll face" technology sounds logical enough, but I was hoping to get some first hand reports on if it actually made a difference in your ball rolling smoother. Of course the infomercial stressed this. Just wondering if it is hype or the real deal. Any others with insights on this? Grateful for any info. Likely pulling the trigger today or tomorrow. Got the green light from the wife:)

Been gaming a Mr. Beasley for two to three years and I absolutely love it. It rolls better than any putter I've used. Even side-by-side with my buddy's SC Newport 1.5 (and at the time I was strongly considering buying a SC so I wasn't really biased towards my putter) I liked the feel of the Rife better.

Only thing that'll be getting the Beasley out of my bag anytime soon might a Rife Abaco.

I have been using the IBF Aussie tour blade for a couple months now. I liked it better than anything else I tried and putt really well with it. Rife putters are very underrated!

played with a Yes Callie for a couple months...short putts would roll off line. It wasn't for me. Switched to the Rife Aussie and short putts drop with ease. Great putter.

I have the Rife Aussie Mallet. After trying it at my fitter, I had to go out and purchase it. Rolls really nice off the face and has good weight. FWIW, the
Bimini blade feels just as good.

hmm I see most of these people that have the rife putters are a 15+ handicap. I have the odyssey marxman mallet putter. it has a bigger mallet form than you would be used to with other putters, but has a nice big line running from the face to the back that helps tremendously with aiming. I think you should try some more putters before looking at one. I have heard good things about the rife putter but I don't believe that it is for everybody. Odyssey is the #1 putter on tour, and I think you should give it a shot before buying the rife.

Yeah... I am over a 15. I don't lose it on the greens. I average around 30 putts per round and have only had 1 three-putt this year in 10 rounds. It ain't the arrow (which is awesome)...

Rife is the #1 putter on the Champion's Tour

without paying anyone to use their product ... whereas Odyssey pays players to use their putters. Hmmm... I guess Odyssey isn't for everyone, either. And having owned an Odyssey putter before buying my Rife (and trying a brand new Sabertooth yesterday when an old man I played with insisted I do), the Rife rolls much truer. That's just how it is. The dew test they show on the Rife infomercial is the truth.

I have a Rife 2 Bar "Dana" Special Edition. Rolls the ball great, very forgiving on off center hits. The putter is great on lag putts, partly due to the better roll it imparts on the ball and the forgiveness. The top line is a bit thick for my tastes, making it a bit tough to line up on shorter putts, but over all it's a great putter and is always in my rotation. Works better on fast, smooth greens since it has less loft than standard putters.

I have played the IBF Aussie blade for a year now. I was fitted last April when the Tour was in town for the Heritage. I LOVE MY PUTTER! It is really need to see and feel the difference. It is also interesting that the Rife putters have a loft of 2 or 2.5 and most scottys have a loft of 4. Rife can get away with this as its role face technology gets the ball rolling, not skipping across the green.

I would strongly suggest you finding a dealer and trying a few and see if they can fit you as well.

as of today I am a +1 and I am using the rife. Futher more, a certain columbian golfer that I was no a boat with last week at the Heritage used a rife with a orange cameron grip towards the end of last years season.

I don't think a certain putter is made for a HDCP type, what ever putter fits your putting style and helps you get it in the hole....look at Ben crensaw and his old blade. Yes, Odyssey is the #1 on tour....but PLEASE don't buy putters or equiptment because of this. Most people don't realize that those players get paid to have that in their bag. Like TaylorMade Drivers..a few years ago they wanted to win the driver count, so they paid players, any player no matter their contract $3,500 if they would have it in their bag on the first tee on Thursdays (when they do a club check) the other 3 rounds, who knows what they were playing. My point is, please find a putter, driver, whatever that feels good and fits YOUR game...not the best players in the world.

Putting is all about confidence. I would NEVER switch putters, because i have so much confidence with my scotty. I feel that i can sink any put when i line it up. That being said, RIFE putters are nice, but putters are all personal preference, so we cannot tell you which one it best. And it doesnt matter what putters the pros are using!

Thanks for the input guys. I appreciate it. I ordered my Rife Anitgua and it will be here in a few days. Not sure if I wanted the Antigua or Aussie. Could not tell much difference online. Hope it works out well. In any case, it will be fun to try it out.

The rife putters do role the ball well. I would entertain the yes putter as well if there is a style you like in it. Yes putters have low loft (2.5*) not sure if that would be good for your putting stroke or not.

A really wealthy guy here in Lafayette where I live just bought part of Rife. His last name is Marino, he owns a really big oil company here. Just thought I would throw that in.
