I went to a Titleist demo day on Friday, and tried the 909 F2 Fairway wood and Hybrid. I was hitting the 15.5˚ 3 wood and a 19˚ hybrid and liked them both. I'm pretty sure I am going to pull the trigger on them. I liked the stiff Voodoo shaft in each. I hit them both well and was happy with the distance I was getting on them.

I have read the thorough reviews by Eric here on the site, and was wondering if anyone else out there has either of these clubs and how they like them.

Another question I have is whether you think the gap between the two is enough. I was hitting them to the end of the range, and there is a raised green at the end that makes it difficult to see where the ball is landing; it often gives the illusion that they are landing in a similar area, but from ball flight etc... I don't think it would be the case. Do you think the 3.5 ˚ difference is enough in these clubs, or should I be looking at a 21˚ hybrid?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

On another note, I hit quite a few balls with a 9.5˚ 909 D2 driver and was impressed with it. I'm gong back to the range tomorrow with one of the pros and the fitting cart to see what shaft I like best. From the demo day, I narrowed it down to either a stiff or X Voodoo, or the stiff UST Proforce V2.
Any feedback here would be appreciated too.

I have a 19* hybrid and a 15* fw wood and I think your gap of 3.5* is perfectly fine. I would think that 21* would be only a bit further than your 4 iron. The 19* hybrid covers a 2 & 3 iron distance

Just curious about the Rapture. Do you currently not like your setup? Do you see yourself hitting more fairways with the 909D2? I heard some good reviews of the G10 line and the Rapture as well but maybe the 909 is a better fit for you.

I have the 909D3 and the 909D2 15.5 fairway wood. I am very happy with the 3 wood so far. I have the stiff Voodo shaft in both clubs. The 3 wood is a keeper for me.

Woods: Titleist 909 D3, Titleist 909 F2
Hybrids: Taylormade Rescue
Irons: Titleist AP-2
Wedges: Titleist Vokey spin milled
Putter: White Hot 2 ball.

I like the 3 wood, but the hybrid is a pain to hit. I struggle with it a ton, duck hooks, high fades, strait shots, low fades...everything. I cannot develop any consistency with this club. However i seem to struggle with all of my woods, so maybe its just me. lol

I like my Rapture; I hit in on a good trajectory and when it is caught on the screws it really hops off it. My dispersion with it is a little more than I'd like though; I don't think I hit the D2 quite as far as the Rapture, but I would give it up for some more accuracy.

Thanks for the replies so far.

I think the difference is fine between the 909F2 and the 909H... I just purchased the 909D2 and the 909F2... They feel great, just haven't put them into the bag quite yet because I haven't been to the practice tee enough to make them gamers... That'll be soon though!

I have a 909D3 driver and absolutely love it, I also have a 909F3 15* 3-wood which I like but I'm going to need a different shaft in. The stock VooDoo just spins way too much for me, the head feels good though.
