boy it's finally getting warm here in Michigan but the wind is unbelievable..

played Saturday in 30+ mph winds ...

4 irons going 250+ downwind, 170 into the wind.

you do the math.

was a struggle to say the least!

I love playing in the wind. I get to use my imagination to hit different kind of shots. Not very often I have to hit my 200 yrd club from 140. I learned a lot time ago that it's not about how far you hit a club, it's about how high it goes. My most memorable shot into a 40+mph wind was a really high driver (280 off the tee) into a 150 yrd par three and hit the green. It was fun to watch the ball go over the green, then start to float up and backwards, then land on the green.

I love it too. 30 mph isnt even that bad, get into the 40's then we're talking..

It's fun. But it's a lot trickier on the greens than usual.
