thanks all!

Whatever you do, don't try to teach her yourself if you want to keep the relationship going. It's no joke that many divorces have been initiated or spurred along by husbands trying to teach the game to their wives. When she needs more help, get her another lesson. A one hour private lesson can be more helpful than 10 hours in a group, even a small group. Also strongly recommend a female instructor.

The easy course is also the best way to get her started playing. My home complex has a 9 hole executive course and a 9 hole par 3 course along with the 18 hole regulation course. It gives good options for players of all abilities.

It's nice that my kids are getting more interested so I chalk it off to spending quality time with them. She knows I love the game and has talked about trying it out occasionally, but thinks the size of her chest will prevent her from swinging the club. lol

Now you're just trying to make us jealous!! Just kidding. It

is a great pastime for the whole family. Cheers

Thanks. I might end up in bankruptcy though.

    • Day 2 (20 Jan 26) - Similar work as yesterday - started with lead hand solo drills with the 50°, followed by series of pitches and chips utilizing full setup.
    • Hey, thanks for the feedback. I do lift weights but I’m also adding yoga or Pilates for mobility and flexibility to my routine.
    • Day 18: 2026.01.20 Continuing work on arm raise during backswing. Starting to feel less weird, especially the slower I go. Looking like a busy week so might be the weekend before I can hit some balls.
    • It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.
    • It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
