I did it guys! I shot under par at my local 9 hole! -1!

while this isn't a full length course, it was still a fantastic achievement for me.

The trick was making every 3-5 ft putt.

Felt incredible. I've realized lately that golf is so mental more than anything else.

Congratulations! I remember the first time i shot under which was at my local muni. I shot a 35 on the front and a 41 on the back :*( It's really hard to keep it together for both 9's!

It really is a mental game. Last year I had my first under par nine with a 34 (-2) on the front nine including a birdie on 9 after a 3 putt for bogey on 8.

Then I fell apart and shot 44 (+8) coming home :(

If you figure out how to keep the mental edge I will buy your book!

Congrats. Always a good feeling...

To this day my only sub-par round was a 27 on a par 29 course about 5 years ago. I had 3 birdies and 1 bogey. The funny thing is I was probably a 18-20 handicap at the time but as I've gotten better I've never again duplicated that, although I've shot even par for 9 several times since then.
