Bridgestone's website is up now, and they've got some really good looking products for the lower handicapper. I'm going to hold off on a new set of irons until I can demo their pro combos and muscle backs just to see. I also love their new ad with Freddie and John Lee Hooker's Boom Boom Boom . Their visors look pretty sharp too. . . I've been using the B330 for a month now and I love it to death. The ball has a nice flat penetrating trajectory, spins very well off the short irons, very little spin off the driver, and is as solid as a brick house in the wind. I've also heard great things about their J33P and R drivers, seem to be all the rage at the PGA merchanidse show this year. Going to be looking at the J33R for sure when it comes out. I agree with you on Fred's swing. Fred Couples is by far my favorite swing and player on the PGA tour, he's the definition of effortless power. Hits it just as far as Tiger, but doesn't even look like he's trying. However, all that's nothing compared to how nice and personable he is. I've had the pleasure of being in his galleries several times and have nothing but positive things to say about him.

He certainly is personable, I remember seeing him on a practice range at a tournament (post-round) and he was talking to everyone in his very laid back manner, its almost as if he forgot the purpose of being there was to practice.

I'm gonna take Ernie Els for "effortless power" over Freddie. The whole "loop it back and up around at the top" thing is a move I made quite a bit in high school but have tried to avoid making as I've gotten better. It takes a lot of skill to do that repeatedly, and even Freddie can't pull it off all the time.

I wonder if the extra movement he has in his swing has caused some of his back problems. I wonder, if he were more of a "up on plane, down on plane" kinda guy if his back would hurt quite so much. Probably would, but perhaps not?

I don't know what the exact cause of Freddie's back problem was. I know that he does have a herniated disk in his back which can be caused by lots of different things. I'm sure the length of his swing doesn't help things, but I don't know if it's the reason for this back injury.
