A set of DCI black's, the only year they made only the black and not the gold. That set was perfect for me but a wild hair set in and I traded them for a forged set of Hogans! What a moron!

Love Story

A few years ago I had a beautiful set of custom made Miura Baby Blades. Those sweet sticks set me back $1600. Hitting balls with those babies was like carving butter with a white hot butter knife. On solid hits the ball shot off the face and impact was so pure I could hardly feel the ball. A purely struck iron shot was almost as good as sex.

Alas, the ONE AND ONLY time I left my bag at a muni bag drop to go in for lunch - they disappeared.

In my Srixon staff bag:

Driver: Titleist 909D2 8.5 - Grafalloy Epic X
Fairway: Adams RPM LP 13 degree - Grafalloy Epic X
Hybrids: Adams Idea Pro 18 degree - DGSL X100Irons: MacGregor 1025M 3-PW - DG X100SW: Titleist Vokey Spin Milled 54 - DG X100LW: Titleist Vokey Spin Milled 58 - DG X100Putter...

My fav's are my current. Easiest and Ugliest irons ever made Ping Zing 2. Perimeter weighting at it's best.

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
