I'm off to a seminar in Miami and scheduled to play an outing at Crandon Park on the 31st of May. Has anyone played this course? How is it?

It is top shelf all the way.The seniors have played there for years.If the wind blows bring plenty of balls.

Great track. Don't play it all the way back, its brutal back there.

If you have time, play the Club at Emerald Hills. It's the host site for the WGC Doral and Honda Monday Qualifiers, and they also host U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur, Floriad State Amateur, U.S. Mid-Amateur, and U.S. Public Links qualifiers. In the summer months it's never more than $100 to play.

Try Miami Beach Golf Club too, muni course. Beautiful, and it backs up to South Beach so you can get your dance on after. Haha.

Thanks for the suggestions. I leave tomorrow (Sunday) and working my way south with business and golf (I hope). The 10 day forcast on weather.com is thunderstorms almost every day. Thanks again.

      First round at Quail Ridge: 47 + 47 = 94 *Note: It was 25+ mph winds with gust in the 35+ mph. It was also around 58 degrees. I felt like I was out in Oregon. The greens were very firm.  Driver was decent. It didn't cause me an issues.  Irons were the biggest issue. Just low point control was lacking. Mostly on the chunky side. Also, my irons were routinely 20-30 yards shorter than normal. Even on holes with a cross wind, the ball was just dying. We played an extra 9 holes after the first 18, and the wind died down by then. I stepped into a 9 iron, and it came up 15 yards short. I have no clue what is going on. I should not be hitting 9 irons 140 yards when I am hitting my driver 300 to 310 yards.  Warmup didn't give me much confidence. I just kept shanking every other iron shot. I didn't shank an iron during the round. I just felt all out of sorts today. Coordinate felt off.  yea, I have no idea if I am purposely slowing down my swing to feel my downswing piece. Again, I hit a decent 9 iron and lost 15 yards of carry. I hope this is just an off day.

      Day 565 - 2026-04-19 Wanted to get home to do some spring cleaning type stuff, so I practiced for about seven or eight minutes and got my butt home. Just backswing stuff, mostly, with freezers and a little downswing feel. Liking the new big mirror I have.
