my girl almost aced one today!

so i went to go play a round and my girl tagged along...
she normally just rides and enjoys the scenery...
today was just her 3rd time out actually playing and her first time ever playing 18 on a regulation course...
she pretty much pulled driver on every hole and hit every fw but of course she was playing the fronts...
we pull up to a par3 181 for me... 108 for her...
i promptly hit my teeshot onto the green which left me about a 30 ft putt left of the hole and just barely carrying the greenside bunker...
we pull up to her teebox and she borrows my driver...
she hits her shot which carries about 5 yrds then wormburns it straight as an arrow... im behind her watching... she's instantly disappointed right after impact... but i point at her ball as it rolls up onto the green tracking towards the flag... lips out on the right side of the hole sitting literally inches past...
we were screaming at the top of our lungs... the guys waiting behind us were clapping and whistling saying "great shot"...
she taps in for her first ever birdie while i 3 putt for bogey...

i think i shoulda been more clear... LOL... i dont have any kids... it was my girlfriend and she's 28... it was the greatest miss id ever witnessed... i hope she gets as fired up as i am about golf... i just hope she doesnt get frustrated an disappointed that future rounds wont be as "easy" as todays

lol that story made me chuckle lol

I had a buddy one time one a par 3 he teed off and it was slightly elevated and he hit it and it went down the incline and probably went about 10 yards total got stuck in the mud like, so he said screw it ill just play it, and he hit the damn ball another about 120 yards or so to the hole, got up there looking everywhere for his ball not knowing he hit it in the holefor a birdie lol

hitting it 10 yards into mud, then holeing it, HOW THE HECK DOES THAT HAPPEN lol
