Am I Entitled to Call BS

I am scheduled to play someone in league a week from tonight and he is going to be out of town. He called last Sunday morning and suggested that we play a make up round early. I agreed even though I have been playing horribly. I ended up scoring well and took 3 out of 11 available points. Since tonight is looking rainy, he is saying that if tonight or next week gets rained out, our match will be invalid and we will have to replay since the league will get rescheduled and our match will be on a different course (we switch courses at the same facility mid season). I told him that was BS since that round is already in the books. What are your opinions. Am I right to call BS here?

I don't think any of us know your league's rules.

But assuming it's legal for the sake of argument, you stand to lose 3 points but you stand to gain 8. What are the odds you could improve from winning only 3 points?

He is a friend of mine too... for now. He is just bitter that I beat him outright even when he was giving me 5. For those who read it a few weeks back, this is the same person who hit the 150 marker after he pulled it from the ground and proceeded to "worm burn" his ball right into it.

I too am our league president and we had a similar situation occur 2 years ago. Because we did not have a black and white defined rule we let the league members vote. 12-6 in favor of having the first round count towards the point calculation. If you guys play skins the early round would need to be voided since you will be playing on a different course so your make-up round (s) will at least count for something.

Because we did not have a black and white defined rule we let the league members vote. 12-6 in favor of having the first round count towards the point calculation. If you guys play skins the early round would need to be voided since you will be playing on a different course so your make-up round (s) will at least count for something.

We did play last night even though it was chilly with a little rain so it looks like the previous round will stand. If anyone caught the skins game from the Memorial, that's what our weather was like. You gotta love Ohio. I had my AC running on Tuesday and wanted to turn on the furnace last night. But I digress.

I completely agree. It was his decision to play the match early, he should have to live with that decision.

I love when the dude comes home and there's a message on his answering machine from the league president regarding a "firearm" being pulled during league play, and how that's a violation of league rules.

It cracks me up that there's actually a league rule regarding firearms.
