You want to complete your grip prior to address. If you align yourself to the target, then change your grip.. you actually change the position in which the club will make contact with the ball thus leading the an off target shot. See if that helps. There are other ways to correct this, but that is the easiest way. If you need more help just ask!!

Take grip, set back of club square to target line while stepping in with the right foot(for a right handed player), then step in with left foot. Then make any final adjustments, closer/farther away from ball, make sure feet are aligned perpendicular to clubface(that works best for me).

I agree with the routines mentioned above. Grip, address, adjust.

How are you ensuring that your legs are parallel? I have seen players get their legs parallel by putting a club on their thighs or knees and tip their head over to look down the line of the stance. This doesn't work. If you are doing this then you are not necessarily getting the rest of your body i.e. waist and shoulders aligned and even when you put the club down your leg and body adjust position again.

Best to lie a club on the ground to point at your target and get your feet parallel to this. The rest of your body will line up from this and then you'll need to work on your swing to ensure you are aligned at impact. [You can't do this on the golf course! It's one for the practice ground.]

There is no one way to set up your alignment with your pre-shot routine.

I would try different methods and see what works best for your alignment by double checking afterward and see if you are aligned correctly.

Visualize the rail road tracks and check your alignment.

I like to pick the line behind the ball
I actually drop my club on the ground and walk around and realign my club so that it is parallal with the target line. my feet are together and I spread my feet visualizing the line so that I am align with the target.
