My wedges.

A quote from Kris
...is that college bball really isn't "lower tier". The better teams have their rosters filled with guys who could play in the NBA. hell, guys used to come straight from high school to the NBA. I really don't think there's much of a difference skill-wise between the two.

Somehow I'm very good with my SW between 20 and 60 yards out. I can consistently place it really close to the hole (20 ft or less, quite often less than 10). Since I'm a beginner, I tend to have a lot of trouble with my approach shots. I'm just not a good ball striker. I tend to have decent drives, 1 or 2 irons to get in wedge range (I top off quite often) and a SW to get on and near the hole. Because of that, I rely on my SW to keep me in bogie/double bogie range.

LW, SW, PW, 9, 8, all come through for me, putter's been pretty decent, too.

It's much easier to identify the club I fluff the most, but fortunately that's not what this post is about. The fight for best is between LW SW and PW I guess. Today it was 60* LW by a nose.

I picked up a Tour Edge 56 degree wedge of ebay, and I love it. It looks great, and feels really soft.

My Taylor Made Burner Rescue (22*) is my easiest club to hit. It is consistently my straightest club and I use it a lot. Other than that, I like my putter.

As odd as this may sound, my best club this year has been my several-year-old Odyssey Rossie putter I dug out of the old club bin. I recorded a personal best 12 putts over 9 holes this year, and have only 3 putt twice in my last four rounds. Don't know why I ever took it out of the bag in the first place.
