Then take the course to the range. It's easy to start hitting your 6-iron really well when you've hit 15 in a row before it. Doesn't happen on the course. Play your golf course on the range - picture the first hole, hit a driver, see where it goes, play the appropriate next shot from there, and continue.

Everyone needs to re-read that, it's outstanding advice......and works extremely well as a pre-round warmup too. How many people widh they could start their round over again after the 3d or 4th hole? Well, you can..... I hit a dozen balls or so just to stretch the muscles and loosen the joints. Then I "play" the first 3 holes, in order, twice. Another dozen balls. Hit some chips and head to the putting green. When I step to the first tee, I've already "played" 6 holes. No first tee jitters and perfect visualization of how I'm going to approach the first 3 holes.

what i think you should do is to think about golf this way, every shot is a new shot, that means that you shouldnt think about the next shot or even the shot hit before, just get up there, think about what you want this ball to do , within reason, be as relaxed as possible, whistle or something and then let it fly. hope that helps
