I was wanting to change the shaft in my R7 Driver from the factory shaft. I have a swing speed of 100-105 and hit the ball pretty high. What shaft do you guys recomend to lower the flight through technology. I don't want to change my swing as it is because I hit the ball relatively straight, just would like to have a lower trajectory.

I'd recommend finding a clubfitter in your area. We can all spout stats about shafts but a professional can help narrow the choices down for you.

Have you adjusted the weights in the head yet ? If you haven't put two 10g forward, and move the two 2g weights into the rear. This should bring the ballflight down.

i will see a fitter. Thanks for the advice. I have also tried the different weight configurations. Now though I have stuck on replacing the 2g weights with 14's and having a little more weith in the head. I love it!!!!
I've had really good luck with Accuflex line of shafts. Also, I have enjoyed the Aldila line as well. Hard thing about recommending shafts is that each person has an idea of what feels good to them and their swing type. Good luck finding the right shaft for you...

    • Day 170: did the yardstick putting drill.
    • Day 2 1 hour of range work, muni range in Van Nuys. Focusing still on weight shift, starting forward shift earlier. Seeing some progress. Little bit of chipping work.
    • I wish! Double quotes are inches and a single quote is feet! It was just 11 inches, my friend, @ChetlovesMer!    Day 4 1/3/25  Indoor chipping and weight shift drills. Will putt through 50 mm  gates rom 11 inches before bed.

    • Day 244 (3 Jan 24) - Friday men’s group round - a really solid front nine at one over 37 from the gold tees. Out of the 8 pars - six were up and downs…the lone bogie included a water ball penalty stroke.  At the turn, game shifted to my typical reality as it was a 45 with open and close dbls on 10 and 18, with five bogies and two pars strewn in between. Still a solid 82 overall - with 28 total putts (incl one 3 putt) 5 GIR and 5 nGIR.   Oh the highlight of the day - the ladies’ teaching pro was in our foursome and she was very complimentary of my overall approach and wedge game.  It made those drills in the backyard well worth the time spent.
