For 4-7 irons, my hands are centered in my stance. With the ball centered in my stance, the shaft from my pov is as follows: l

With 8-PW my hands are slightly forward of center. With the ball centered in my stance, the shaft from my pov is as follows: /

But where are my hands supposed to be with the driver setup (assuming the ball is aligned just inside my left heel)?

If I keep my hands centered, it appears from my pov that the shaft of the driver is as follows: \

If I move my hands forward, even with the ball, the shaft of the driver is as follows: l

Which is the better setup for the hands? Thanks for opinions....

I found this on another forum, maybe it will help.

Your hands shouldn't necessarily be centered. You should have your hands off your left heel. Your right shoulder should dip to accommodate that. That will align your driver vertically and your irons will have a little forward tilt. That's the setup of most great ball strikers I've seen, anyway.

Not sure? Found it on another forum and thought it was a great visual.

I know this is a very old thread, but just wanna say thanks, since this gives me more confidence.

I've been setting up like this before I knew it and have been very consistent. I never knew that it's Hogan's setup

that I have been doing.

Gonna try this with my new driver that I'm having issues with though.
