Morning all!

My home golf club had its early bird competition this morning held at 4:30 in the morning in texas scramble format!

Me and my 3 other partners set a new low record round for scramble of 49.3!!!!! (par 70)
We didnt miss a putt all morning the greens were running so true! We had 1 par, 16 birdies and an eagle!

Who else finds texas scramble a good laugh when your playing well?

That is all :D

Texas scramble? What is that? I know it's net, but how are the shots figured out. I have seen a net 39 in a scramble by a team that totally bagged their handicaps.

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee

Great result, congratulations! Net or scr?

What I'm really curious about is how long did the round last? Golf carts or not?

Texas scramble is where you pick the best shot from each position until the ball is in the hole basically!

We had 4 in our team, we have to add all our handicaps together then divide it by 10 to get 10% allowance then minus from gross score! 39? jesus thts taking the proverbial!

Cheers lad!

That was nett score! Then minus 10% of our total handicap! My home course is a 130 year old links course and no buggies are allowed on so its walk or walk! Took us just short of 3hrs 30mins to get round 18 holes!

i believe texas scramble is you have to use at least four drives from everyone, other than that its a basic scramble.

    • Day 33 (13 Dec 25) - Worked on weight shift and resetting the left heel during downswing (after listening to a discussion on Golf School this morning on PGA Tour Radio).  It centered on how Jack Nicklaus lifted his lead heel and how long driver champs do as well.  Taking cues from that discussion, worked an exaggerated feel of the left heel working doing some swing drill in the backyard using the 7i.  Wrapped up the session by hitting a few low bump and run shots in the backyard - keeping the process slow and exaggerated.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
