yeah, sorry about that. I'm saying $100 per person, with a total of $400. Basically, I'd like to pay $400 for four guys to play two courses.

What's in the Bag?

HiBore 9.5 deg w/Grafalloy Pro Launch 65
Big Bertha 3w
Tight Lies I-Wood 24 deg ap1 4-pw x-14 3-pw Vokey 52.08, 60.06 Detour Marksman Blade

Looking at $50 per man per round, these are some options

Rivers Edge $53....fantastic Arnold Palmer design,a must play especially at this price. They are redoing all of the greens and are scheduled to reopen Aug 1. One of my favourites.

Carolina National $47....Fred Couples is attached to this course. It is a bit of a drive, but is a very good course with 27 holes. Would command more money if it were closer to Myrtle Beach.

Crow Creek $54....Always in good condition, more open but not a links course

Arrowhead $58....a Raymond Floyd designed course with 27 holes. Depending on what 9's you play some very scenic holes along the Intercoastal Waterway.

Myrtle Beach National West $44....a solid course, good value for the money, however no wow factor.

Farmstead $42...again no wow factor, but a solid course in good condition. It features a Par 6 18th hole, where you tee off in South Carolina and end up putting in North Carolina

Thanks for the feedback!

There are some definite courses to avoid on your list. Especially if you play World Tour and TPC,most of your other courses will be a disappointment. World Tour is pricey for what you get, unless you are a real golf architect buff it is hard to recognize most holes. That being said it is well conditioned and you are treated very well by the staff. There are better courses for the same money.

I would avoid: Brick Landing Brunswick Plantation Palmetto Greens River Oaks Woodland Valley Of the rest I would rank them: Carolina National (easily the best on your list) Sea Trail Maples Farmstead River Hills Meadowlands/Sandpiper/Sea Trail Byrd I haven't played Lockwood Folly Have you already committed to a packager?

Got ya. Well you should really be able to play the best Myrtle hast to offer. The most I've ever payed down there is $100.

No we haven't put the deposit down yet. But for those courses, 6 rounds 7 nights, it is $50 per person per night. Golf, green fees and cart, Lodging all included.

Is that tax included?

Condo with kitchen?

I am not in the business, but if you are interested you can probably upgrade your golf for not much more. I can see by what's in your bag you take your golf seriously,I'm afraid you will be disappointed by your course offerings.

If not enjoy your trip and have fun,I have taken about 20 trips and enjoyed each one.

Yeah that's w tax and a kitchen. I'll call monday to see what the upgrade fees are for the courses mentioned above.
The other 2 couples we play with have done this trip a few years now and it seems hard to beat the prices. I figured the condo's are only costing @ $8 a night per person. Tough to beat that!

Your're right, it's tough to beat the price you got.

With 27 holes,is it possible to play Carolina National a couple of times on your package?

The courses on that list are not "Must Play" courses. The best one on that list is Carolina National and that is not in my top 10 at MB. It is also very far North.

I go to MB several times a year and have played most of the courses there. My favorite MB area courses from North to South are: Rivers Edge (a great bargain) Leopards Chase Tigers Eye Oyster Bay Barefoot Fazio Barefoot Love Grand Dunes Tidewater The Dunes Club Legends Moorland (a good bargain) TPC Caledonia True Blue Heritage Here are links to photos of many of the MB courses I've played in the last 2 years: http://sports.webshots.com/album/570513900QVSgqT http://sports.webshots.com/album/562767212CyJfgZ http://good-times.webshots.com/album/569834123lLrLHv http://sports.webshots.com/album/569810167XSKWDw http://sports.webshots.com/album/569342510nOQHcD The best website for MB info and course advice is Myrtle Beach Golf Talk: http://forums.prospero.com/mbgolf/messages
