Oh and for what it is worth, my girlfriends family regularly sees people urinating on her property. That is they leave the fairway, cross the chain into the brush, continue on to a tree on HER property, and urinate.

She and her family have every moral right to put a stop to that. Seems pretty bold to assume that someone doesn't mind you taking a leak on their property. Personally, I believe they should put an end to that practice but that is up to them. It does not however give you the right to play golf for free (unless otherwise arranged with the club). That might be a good bargaining point though. Maybe the family should say, "We will allow pissing on our tree if we can play the hole we live on after hours."

I actually bet the course and it's members would take that deal!

Two wrongs do not make a right. That's the same idea as "you stole from me so I can steal from you." BTW, I think this is an interesting topic and a good discussion.

Man I swear to god I might just go to the clubhouse and try this in person, it would just make such a good piece of comedy.

Sounds crazy but I can see how an exclusive club like that would rather allow you to play that one hole after 8 than embarrass it's members that can't understand they need flomax. I bet it would be a funny conversation. I'd guess at worst they'd stop the urinating.

TAKE VIDEO!

Get a good video of some jackass peeing on your girlfriend's tree. Then take that with you (or email it) to the clubhouse. Just show the pro the video and ask politely if you can play that hole a few times now and again.

With the pro's permission, have fun.

It seems everyone who is totally against this is only seeing it from one side. What about all of the golfers who tresspass onto someone's back yard to pick up their miss-hit balls (or just hit a ball there on accident and leave it there)? This is also tresspassing, but people do it all the time. Should these people also get in trouble? Charged by the cops with tresspassing or have to pay a fee to the home owners every time a ball goes there? Many of these golf courses are the ones who put the houses there in the first place, often as a source of income. It would be foolish for them to think that they could put a house there and expect no one is going to come out occasionally. I've even played at some courses that allow the neighbors to walk/jog the course for exercise and bring their dogs out to let them run (yes, while I was playing!!).

This is a decent point. sort of a good neighbor idea. As some one who belongs to club lined with houses I go out of my way to be a good neighbor to the houses around the fairway.
