Has a course ever been vandalized prior/during a Pro tournament?

This is a really off the wall question but I was just curious if anybody has ever heard of a course(more specifically the green) at a Pro tournament being vandalized prior to or in the middle of(at night) the tournament? If the green was vandalized so bad that it was unplayable, what would they do? Designate another hole to be played twice to replace that hole for the tournament?

That is off the wall! The first thing that comes to mind is eco-terrorists and fortunately most of them don't have a beef with golf courses except for maybe nitrogenous runoff. I'd say it's more likely that all the gas-hawg Cadillacs in the parking lots would be vandalized than the course.

Last year at a PGA tournament, someone drove a car out on the playing surfaces during the night. I can't remember which event but I remember the TV hosts saying that the damage was minimal and repaired before the next round started.
