I keep hearing how long this driver is and how it's the longest on tour. Has anyone hit this that can confirm it?

I have had one for about 14 months. I use it along with several other drivers. Its a good product. Is it longer than others? Can't say.
You need to remember that Media Marketing of products is just that... Marketing & Hype. Just like Balls, the USGA has specs for golf clubs that limit a clubs performance. You having the proper shaft for your swing type and swing speed is far more important than the clubhead.

The Adams Insight heads were amazingly low spin. If you swing very fast, you will notice a difference. My driver is very hard just to get in the air for most people, but I love it, I can get it well up into the air, and it just carries forever. You need to catch it right in the balls to get it up there, but damn does it go for ages. The other brands don't offer such low spin outside of their tour heads, and you have to get those through E-Bay for most brands, or you can custom order others. Heck, Adams still hasn't even sold their Peanut hybrids to the public.

Now, if you're talking tour heads, then the Adams compares pretty well. Most of your tour issue heads play the same as the Insight. I took mine and hit it up against a tour van 909D3 and a Tour Burner (all were shafted with X-Stiff), and all three hit the ball about the same, but the Tour Burner seemed to have the flattest trajectory.

The tour issue clubs are quite different from the ones you buy in the stores. The Tour issue "X" is much stiffer than the "X" they sell at your local golf shop. I really wish more companies would offer the same specs as their tour clubs to the public, but as some people have pointed out, the average amatuer has a bigger ego than ability, and most would never be able to get tour issue drivers into the air. Taylormade has introduced the Superdeep, which is a step in the right direction at the very least.

I have a 9015d that I reshafted with a Harrisin Saga 70s. I bought it after reading the golfwrx.com reviews. It's pretty much true, this thing is a low spin bomber. I hit it mid trajectory, if you catch it on the screws it will absolutely murder the ball. It's fairly forgiving off the toe, but I find it pretty dead if hit towards the heel. I LOVE the feel, I definitely get a "trampoline" effect when well struck, and it has a nice muted sound. I picked mine up for $53 used, and have just over $100 in the total package...it's a great value. I'm actually looking to get another one.

I totally agree, the toe is ok, but the heel is just dead. The thing is set up, though, so that the center of the face is mainly where the ball has to be struck, and you can just feel the flex of that face when you catch one. You don't have enough clubhead speed, and the thing goes nowhere, but if you really crunch it, it feels like a trampoline. No other driver quite comes close to the Insights. I can't see replacing my BUL 5000 until it breaks. It sounds metallic and clinky on mishits, but has the most amazing explosive crack on well struck shots.
