This is something which has been bothering me a lot lately. I just don't know where exactly my back swing should finish and my forward swing start. I tend to over swing to the degree that the at the end of my back swing the club goes beyond parallel to target line and is actually point to the ground (the club head side).

So right now I am working on totally changing my swing. I still can't try it in real till next Thursday but I have been practice swinging like crazy at home the last couple of days and I think I got the hang of the new swing that my older swing doesn't feel comfortable anymore.

In the new swing I am trying to concentrate on lower body rotation. I have seen Dennis Pugh on the Mizuno Europe website say that you should imagine your heart a pivot around which your shoulders rotate and that's what I am trying to do in both wood swing and iron swing.

I am also trying not to over swing like I used to do with my older (and very inconsistent swing), I think the limit of back swing in my new swing is just before the shaft becomes parallel to the ground, or when it becomes parallel in maximum, but no more over swinging and going beyond parallel.

I have taken a video (bad quality, cell phone) of myself making practice swings at home, not very clear, but it might show if there is improvement in lower body rotation. I can personally feel that my shoulders and hips are rotating better now. But of course all this is pointless if it does not work in real life.

I will take more videos on the range next time I go.

Here is the earlier video in which there is almost no lower body rotation leading to very short tee shots.

And here is the video of the new swing, 3 wood and 6 iron.

You still have pretty fast tempo in your backswing; and something looks a bit off, doesn't seem to me like you are rotating your body enough in the backswing...

Look at this screen shot of your backswing (this is your 2nd swing with your 3 wood)..

You are really over rotating with the arms and your torso is trying to catch up.

I'm afraid if I rotate my torso too much I will slice, so I try to rotate my shoulders and the torso will follow. All this is theoritcal BS anyway, I will have to try all this on the range.
