Ok, so I've had my eye on Bridgestone Golf Balls for a while. I've just about decided on the e7+. I know that the e7+ is supposed to have a more penetrating trajectory. I need that. But, I was wondering three things. 1. Is it a 3-piece? 2. Does it have a urethane cover? 3. Does it have decent softness and feel? I don't need it to be too soft, just more than the slazengers I've been playing. So, anyone got any answers regarding the e7+? Thanks.

Yes. No (Surlyn). And I don't know, but probably softer than your Slazengers.

The first two are easy to find. Do a little research next time. Bridgestone's site or TGW.

I found an e7 about a month ago and lost it on the next hole. Problem... I drove it thru the fairway into the woods. A long ball for sure but I haven't hit one once since. I may get a few from lostgolfballs.com and try them.

e7 specs are:
70 compression
3 piece
Urethane cover
330 dimples

That's interesting. TGW lists the e7+ as a three piece ball with:

I got my info from lostgolfballs.com. They have specs on hundreds off balls. I'll check the bridgestone site and see for sure.

Okay, I have a $10.00 gift certificate for Dick's, it came in the mail from scorecard rewards. Just gotta get 20 more bucks somehow, lol. I still owe my dad 100 bucks for my driver haha. Hoping if I get these they'll help me stay out of the real high trees, always losing distance cuz of the tall trees.

The e7+ is not urethane. Only the e5+ is in that grade. It's my favorite ball in that grade. I buy them the most. Although, like all urethane balls, 1 bad shot and the ball is trashed.

90 comp is as hard as a rock. 70 is softer.

i play the E6 golfball from bridgestone and i love it! i get really good distance off the tee with it, and it's supposed to fly straighter then normal balls, which helps with my swing a bit

Okay, can anyone please tell me if this ball is pretty decent around the greens? Is it pretty good in terms of spin and sticking on greens? I'm expecting a lot, since I can make the slazenger's I'm using check and stick when I need to. I'm probably gonna get some in the next few days.

I play the E7+ sometimes, it is a good ball. But I think you're worrying about the ball too much as a 25 handicap. That is not meant as an insult, everyone better than a 25 was there at one time. Golf balls are a trade off-if you get one thats softer and spins more it's not going to stay as strait or go as far, and vice versa. If you're hitting your shots too high a different golf ball is not going to fix things. I agree with you that golf balls are expensive-and you don't need to spend more than $15 for about 15 balls. A Top Flite D2 Feel has all the feel and spin you would need unless you're in the single digits (generally).

Yeah that makes sense, but I'm gonna give the e7+ a try. I'm not saying a ball is gonna make me any better, but it could help. I mean, if the ball didn't matter, why would the market be flooded with so many different kinds available? Not saying you're wrong, you sure know more than me, but I'm gonna get a dozen of these and really work at my game.

Give em a try! Can't hurt. I've been using the e5+, which I have really enjoyed using, but I'm about to try the e6+, hoping to straighten out my shots a bit. We'll see how the different cover works out as well. So far I've really enjoyed playing Bridgestone balls.

Also, pick up random balls at the course while you play, and give em a try. Its probably the best way to try out different balls without killing the wallet. I should know, I used to live right through the woods form the local CC, and I had trash bags full of golf balls at one point.

Ya I wish the e7+ was urethane cover, but maybe it's good it isn't since I have really no money, so they'll last a little while. Let me know how you like the e6+, I'm looking at those too.

I'm thinking of getting a couple dozen e6+ to help with my slice. You ever play out at Sweetbriar?

In my experience, the e5+ cover is reasonably durable. If you hit the cart path you're probably going to want to replace the ball, but other than that I haven't had to take one out of play. I mostly want to try the other e#+ balls because I want to see if there is a noticable difference in ball flight, and spin on the greens. The In side by side testing for me, the e5+ is noticably less spinny than the ProV1s.

Hmmm. I would get e5+'s but they're two piece and they're supposed to fly higher. I guess I'll decide between the e6+ and e7+ whenever I go to the store.

    • Day 87 (27 Jul 25) - Made it an easy session with the wedge this afternoon, worked on staying in the shot and not lifting out - split between low spinners and higher floaters.
    • Shot my new low 72 (par 70) today. Had 5 birdies, also a new best, which included a hole out from the bunker on par 3 6th, and another hole out pitch from 15ish yards on the long par 4, 15th.  Got a couple of other good breaks. Except for an OB drive on 14th (and ensuing double bogey), not much went wrong. All in all I might have used up a year's worth of luck in a single day.
    • Back in the saddle after vacation.  Day 1: played 18. Did not have it, but still battled to an 82. Felt closer to a 90, but that’s fine.
    • Yes, I have seen this from the older crowd that play the 4,700 yard tees and want to know why they get less strokes from there. Always trying to game the system 🤣
    • Day 300 - 2025-07-27 Good 44-ball segment. GSPro was acting goofy, so I just put it on the Quad. Then I hit a bunch of low spinners. Hit 14° down to 9.8° down, with the average closer to 12.3° or so. Focused mostly on the backswing. Right knee good, hands roll up and out a little before laying off (FAR).
