personally i probably wouldnt have teed it up if i knew i had to do everything you did before the party. but suppose i did.. i would definitely have bailed on the round and just come back the next day and finish it.. im 16 btw

Did YOU actually read it? Or are you just short on comprehension? The ONLY reason she was going to the party was because the OP had offered to be her escort (which sounds like a commitment to me). Nothing was said about "nailing her" (your crude phrase, not mine, nor is the OP's). To me you sound like a first class jerk. Sounds to me like she was most likely going to go to the party regardless whether the OP showed up. You know, the whole "really wanting to go to the party" thing. It's highly unlikely she'd opt to sit at home, alone, when she could go to a party with her brother, even if she didn't know anyone(she's a hooters waitress, interacting with strangers is no biggy).

I agree with vash that it was basically bang the friends hot sister or play best round of golf. To think that he went to "make her feel socially accepted at the party" is stupid. He wanted to get some not to "honor a commitment to show her around the town/party".

But basically it comes down to having 3 things to do and only having time for two of them.

thnx again for all the replies.

cmvash- there was no innuendo meant by me in the title. I was just trying to establish the subject of the thread, while pointing out my dilemma.

As I had said, the girl wanted to go out, I was looking to go out, she was in town for a few weeks, I was single, I didn't know her status but I had suggested to the friend that he bring his sister out before I saw pics of her. It didn't harm she was ridiculously attractive. Either way I just figured we would all go out and have a good time...I just wanted to put my best foot forward. I didn't know what she was like but everyone was in the summertime mindset. I merely used the descriptive adjectives I did to create a more accurate picture of my situation.

Regarding the golf, I figured that shooting under par for me would just be a matter of time....I guess that was arrogance and ignorance on my part. But like I said it was a great summer in many ways. Not that I was thinking of this at that time or not to sound like a non-gentleman, but my stock was elevated with the ladies there after, which paid dividends thereafter.

The only reason I brought this story to the forum was coz the friend I was golfing with that day brought it up recently so I thought I would see how others would have responded in that situation.
