hitting off the heel

so Ive been trying to stand closer to the ball with my driver. this has stopped me from hooking, but now im hitting alot of my drives off the heel and hitting a big ol fade that caused me to lose several balls today and also my patience... any idea why im doing this?, it happened a few times with irons too, but not near as many as with my driver.

also, towards the end of the round I started using my friends tour burner with an x stiff shaft and it hit dead straight every time... idk why though, i used the exact same swing =/

Sounds like you're simply having issues with how close or far away you should be from the ball. Try this. Stand straight up, hold your club out in front of you at shoulder level, both elbows straight. Now drop your club straight to the ground and bend at the waist slightly. What I kind of do to keep my back straight is kind of stick my butt out. Not sure why it works, but it does. But where you end up should be what it should look like at impact. Try taking a divot out of the ground and hitting the same divot several times in a row and take a bigger backswing each time. This will ensure that you're making contact in the center.

ok ill try that.. i guess i just need to get me a xlarge bucket tomorrow and work things out lol.. i like how my swing is working with my irons now, i can even hit my 4 and 5 irons which i could never do until i changed my swing a little, so hopefully i can get it worked out with the driver too
