Ok, well thats really bad, 81. I think if Tiger broke 80 he gave up somewhere, mailed it in on some level.

I watched that round and I never saw him give up. He grinded out every shot. It was painful to watch.

in fact he birdied 17 which shows he didnt give up!

One that comes to mind is the 1999 British Open at Carnoustie when Sergio opened with an 89 and followed it up with an 83 finishing dead last at 30 over par.
