Walked 9 this morning for $9.50. Far from the greatest course in the world but a decent enough practice track.

Just the opposite - I am energized all day from the morning golf.

I agree, whenever I've gone out early before work (I have a course that is a 3 minutes drive from my house) the rest of the day is invigorating. I'd wake up and play 9 (you can do this in an hour and a half), grab some breakfast and get into work before 10:00.

My only issue with it is, at least in this area, there tends to be a lot of morning dew on the ground slowing putting down and making the course a bit wet all in all. Makes it really had if you're playing 18 as the course plays so differently from holes 1 to 15.
