Hi,

I am currently considering snatching the TaylorMade SuperQuad TP driver. I have bought/tried several TM products and I have yet to be disappointed. I actually prefer several of the TM putters over the, in my humble opinion, overpriced Scotty Cameron ones. I don`t want to debate over this, I find the Cameron putters to be good, but for me not as good.

However, now I want to get the SuperQuad. I already have the SasQuatch squared from Nike, and it is okay. I can drive it straight, but I really have to gamble if I want to go longer than 260 meters. Last evening I drove 280 meters, dead straight, and it was really great. But it is risky, and I`d rather go 260 9/10 times, than 280 meters 2/10 times.

However, I recently came over some new weights for the driver I want. They are claiming to add 20-40 yards on the drive. I have to admit it sounds tempting, but at the same time I have to wonder.
So, the link to the weights are here .

So, what do you think? Have anyone tested this? The seller on ebay have yet to receive negative or neutral feedback, but still, I am not sure whether the people who`ve given feedback have tested the weights, and whether or not they are good golfers.

So, The Sand Trap, I ask you to give me your humble opinion of these weights. Any thoughts, questions or comments will be appreciated.

Sincerely yours,
Erlend

I have made one hole in one this far. While you are reading this, I am most likely out on the tee trying to sink another one

If drivers could hit the all farther just by adding weight, golf clubs would be a lot heavier to begin with. Some people just do better with heavier clubs because of better timing, and some just think they are doing better(see, placebo). Seems like a gimmick to me....

I might be wrong but in my understanding these weights are used on the toe or heel of a driver to give a draw or fade bias. Never heard about weights that give you extra length. In my understanding, length comes from increasing swing speed, so it would be more reasonable to make the club head lighter so it can swing faster thus go farther.

I don't know I might be wrong. Don't take my words final.
My achievements:
Eagles: 0
Birdies: 18
Best Round: 89

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
