Well, I went to Dicks to get my new driver reshafted and I don't even want to talk about the crap I got for it because the normal guy I know wasn't there who usually does good work. Anyways, after a couple of hits, I noticed a snapping sound every time the club went around the back of my head. I figured out that the head was loose and it was making a crackling sound at the joint. So I took it back in when my normal guy was there and he did a nice job fixing that up. anyways, after getting it fixed, there was a small gap between the ferrule and hosel that was not filled with epoxy. Now, when I swing full speed, I can hear a little whistle.

It doesn't bother me too much but it would be nice if I didn't need to hear it. I really don't want to bring the club back in and make more trouble over having it pulled out and put back on for just a ferrule space to be filled. Does anyone have a suggestion of what I could fill that little space with? Or do you think I should be a tight @ss and bring it back in just for that little space? Preferably I could just fill it in on my own.

Take it back. They need to do their job properly.
But if you insist on doing it yourself, I think you could fill the space with epoxy. But it might not look good.
Just take it back to Dicks.

Use some blue tape or regular masking tape above and below the gap, then use super glue to fill it in, especially if you or not concerned with reshafting the club in the future. Even so I would think that small amount of super glue would burn off with a heat gun.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
