The trip to Horseshoe Bay was great. Played Apple Rock three times and Ram Rock twice. Apple Rock has bermuda greens and Ram's are Bent. They are different courses built ten or so years apart but in great condition. The staff was first rate. Will be going back.

Of those three, the links at lands end is the best value. Lake Fork also has world class bass fishing

A little further away, I'd go for Horseshoe Bay in Marble Falls http://www.hsbresort.com/

I just came back from a golf trip at The Cliffs at Possum Kingdom Lake and it was awesome!  The course was fantastic with a lot of great holes.  The only bad par was there is only the one course and it is in the absolute middle of nowhere.  Great golf get-away though!

If I were a lucky dog like you I would probably head down to San Antonio and play TPC San Antonio.  It was just set up for the Texas open.  It looked like a lot of fun and tight off the tee.
