I received a couple of requests to post a few pix of my new Kimber. I took the shots today but I cannot find the cord to attach it my computer. When I do I will upload them. In the interim here are a few other guns from my collection. I think a Gun Porn thread is in order.

Here I have my FNP-9, XD-45, AR, Sig p228, Walther P-22 and Glock 19. These are just the ones I had in a folder on my desktop. Will try to post the others.

Given the direction we're headed as a country, I'm claiming all of my guns were sold at a garage sale years ago, along with all of my reloading equipment and components.

ChiChi- Ruger makes a hell of a revolver huh?

I LOVE my Security Six! The balance in that gun is 2nd to none.

I left off my list a Ruger LCP .380......I need to check out their LCR, I hear it's pretty nice as well.

Agreed, registered ammo sounds a tad bit scary.

My .270. It is a pig dropping machine with a shot to the neck. With what i have in the clip and the side, i have over 20 bullets just on the gun.

My thoughts precisely.

Maybe if you get caught up in Die Hard movie or an Episode of 24, it may be useful...

The beauty of living in a free country like the United States I do not have to have a reason.

It is not about need it is about want. I wanted an AR-15 and I own one. Besides playing golf shooting an AR-15 is as much fun as I have ever had.

I think they make an AR in .270, which would be awesome, cheaper than .308 and practically the same thing. Did you know that a .270 has better ballistics than a .308, and just as much knock down power, andf it has less kick.

BTW, I sold my gun to a guy named Bob at the gun show.

    • https://www.usga.org/content/usga/home-page/handicapping/world-handicap-system/world-handicap-system-usga-golf-faqs/faqs---calculate-course-handicap-and-playing-handicap.html That's up to you and the league. You can do a percentage, or just do 100%. If they're already salty about a 12.4 becoming a 10… I don't know that docking it to an 8 with 80% will go over all that well. If the higher handicaps are winning way too often, a percentage is often warranted. It affects them more than the low handicappers (22 x .2 = 4.4, 2.2 x .2 = 0.44).
    • Of course, what I also should have asked is "what handicap should be used in a league? The "Course Handicap" or the "Playing Handicap" and if the latter, what allowance should be made for non-elite stroke play competition? (95% of C.H.? 90%? or forget about the playing handicap altogether?
    • I'll keep the rule only if the water is visible above the surface either where the ball is placed or a normal stance would take place. If not, play ball. I took this the same as a divot, just bad luck. Adjust for a saggy/wet lie and hit the ball. (maybe put on your rain clothes before :D)
    • Day 302 - 2025-07-29 Slowly bridging the gap between the academy and the course. And by "slowly" I mean SLOWLY. Played 18 today.
    • I started Foundation on Apple TV.  So far, season 1 is fantastic. Starting season 2. The actors are great with standout from Jared Harris (Hari Seldon) and Lee Pace (Brother Day).  So far it gets a highly recommend.
