Good, bad, and (not so) ugly...

The Good:
I played 9 yesterday, from the whites, and hit 5/6 fairways! the one I didn't get slopes to the right and I landed in the fairway, but rolled into the rough. I'm finally driving the ball like I've always wanted to, except a bit short. I get maybe 190-200 carry, and the roll varies.
The bad:
My new irons and I aren't getting along at all. After hitting fairways like it was nothing, I only managed 4 GIR, and 2 of those came on the par3's!
The (not so) ugly:
I was able to save par a couple of times, had one birdie (on a par 3), and no triples for a final score of 44. Not my personal best, but a satisfying round, except for the irons.

I'm going to take my 5 iron to the range and hit it until it becomes my favorite!

I was like the exact opposite yesterday. My irons were pretty good. Got 5 GIRs with 2 more on the fringe or just off of it.

Playing again today. Thinking I'm just gonna choke up a little bit and try and not slice. Good luck with your irons as well.

Maybe consider getting a 5 or 6 hybrid so you don't have to worry about your 5 iron.
