my dad got a hole in one yesterday

it was his first ever in about 40 years of playing weekend golf, and my first time seeing one. it was only a 90 yard par 3 because he was playing from the forward tees due to the fact that he just had total knee replacement about four months ago (he just started playing golf again about two weeks ago). 90 yards or not, i was super proud of him. his ball landed on the very front of the green, rolled about 4 yards, hit the flagstick and plunked right into the hole. he didn't even know he'd gotten a hole in one. he hit his shot and was walking back towards me as i watched his ball, and i said to him "you ever had a hole in one before?" "no?" "well. now you have."

we get to the green, he looks in the hole and says "holy sh*t, you weren't kidding, i really did get a hole in one! i thought you were just fooling with me!"

so that was cool.

Ha that has to be one of the funniest hole in one stories ever. Congrats to your dad. Hope he heals up soon!

I crushed a drive on a short par 4, my teacher said :"The odds of that going in are smaller than getting decapitated by a falling penguin". Obviously, it lipped out and stayed at about a metre from the whole.
