Played in the Golf Association of Michigan qualifier for the Net Amateur today (10 handicap at the qualifying site). Went out in 40 (+5) which was dicey with a double and a few putts that just burned the edge, but ended up rattling off 7 pars in a row starting with #9, threw away a couple bogeys on the last 3 holes and ended up shooting 78 (net 68) to be top qualifier for today's event.

Of course my wife was like "So, not like you're going to be a professional."

Finals are in 3 weeks (2 rounds) - from past years, look like it's going to take 137-139 to in it. Of course the same f-ing sandbagger has won two years in a row, which, if I was the GAM I would just say that your 4 rounds from the last 2 finals stand as the sole determiner of your handicap.
