Curious if anyone has bought or tried the new Ping iN (anser v2 blade in particular) which uses a hollowed out construction and nano technology.

I love and own the Ping i series blade right now and was wondering if there is a discernible difference between the two. I'm not sure if this is available at the pro shops yet, but it is there on the Ping website. Thanks.

Got a chance to try the PING iN Anser V2 today and while I couldn't
compare it at the pro shop with my current Ping i series putter, I decided to stick with my PING i series. Couldn't discern any major improvement. Thought it to be heavier in feel. To each his (her) own. Again, as has been said many times, selecting a putter is such a personal decision.

I tied it and bought it. Putters really are such a subjective decision. I have tried Camerons and just do not get it. I owned an Odyssey Black and hated it. I had a Taylor Sienna with AGSI and should never have traded it in. That putter seemed light and light for me encourages a slow staright back stroke but do not ask me why. I had the 2 ball and loved it at times and hated it at times. About 8 years ago I was draining them from all over with a Nike OZ but I could not get over how much I hated the way it looked. I love the way my Ping iN Anser looks. Yes it standard Anser design but it just look slike a good solid putter. As for performance they put nickel insert in face but to me it feels like steel. I just found that it felt good to me as far as weight ( maybe a tad heavier but not real heavy) and I was draining them from all over at Golf Galaxy.

i tried them today at my local golf shop. i really like the ping in D67. it makes a really nice "ping" when you strike a good putt. or maybe a bad putt, im not sure. im debating between the in D67 and a ping piper.

Be wary of "draining them" at a golf shop. Some have been known to sink their cups low to create a funnel effect so that more putts go in.

Not always intended that way....initially....

One of the local shops sort of has this working for them. They've been in business for decades and have a small (one hole) putting deck that is elevated a couple of inches off the floor. This narrow lane is surrounded by by putters for sale. There isn't a lot of room....you simply stand there and putt straightaway 10-12 ft max....walk up and get your balls....repeat the process. The gazillions of times people haved stood there...walking to retrieve thier balls....leaning down in front of the cup....must have sunken the floor down a bit in the center slot to the cup. I could take on any tour player if I could putt on the course as well as I putt in this store.

    • Thanks but honestly… I don't know any other way. I don't mind being wrong so long as I know where to go from there. I don't like being wrong — I'd love to get things right (which is different than "being right"). I recommend grabbing a furniture slider or a paper plate or something, and doing something like this: First, make a swing where you let your trail foot swing out as you turn, then twist that foot back in. From DL and FO, it'll look like this: Then, during a regular backswing, try to twist your foot in slightly (demonstrated in the left image): You'll notice a crease along the trail side of your hip, your pelvis will "fold" into that thigh (internal rotation of the hip joint), and your "bits" will be squished a little between your pelvis and your thigh. Ben Hogan said once: "At the top of the back swing the groin muscle on the inside of your rt [sic] leg near your right nut will tighten," Hogan wrote. "This subtle feeling of tightness there tells you that you have made the correct move back from the ball." I don't know about that, but you will probably feel something down around that area.
    • Yep. I think it will start to feel even more athletic when we start on the downswing stuff later.  I know, it's just I want to be younger so I have more time to enjoy the changes. 🙂
    • I need to drop a couple of stone. 🙂 😛    Yep. Yeah, but in the end, it feels more athletic, like you're actually using your legs, yeah? As you know… we use the best available info we have. Like others, I was fooled a little by 2D images for awhile (moving or still). Unlike others, I've learned and grown and moved on since then, while they're still looking at their images (often from lousy camera angles).
    • Day 12 - 2025-12-31 Limited time today, and heavy rains here. 5-10 minutes of mirror work for full swing, working on trail side.
    • Day 2, 12/31/25.  Similar to yesterday (rainy, no surprise), I hit primarily 6-iron full swings with the same focus;  I also hit some chips (about 1/8 swing) with the 54.  About two dozen full swings and an equal number of short shots.  All of this was indoors, off a mat, into a net, real balls.
