I'm actually from Austin.

Best courses I've played out there are :

Shadowglen: very nice and not too expensive

Star Ranch in Hutto: EXTREMELY NICE definitely one of my favorite of all time. Plus it is only $22 after 4.

Terravista in Round Rock: Haven't played here in a while because they raised their prices quite a bit. Don't walk it as most holes are spread WAY apart. Definitely a nice course and layout though.

I'm up in Denton and a new golfer so play the TWU Pioneer Course because it's close by, but I really enjoy Lake Park, in Lewisville. They've got quality executive and 18 hole courses and the price is pretty cheap!

      I love Rancho Park too!  I don't get out there much due to the 405 issues (Im in Santa Clarita) but I do try and get out there every now and then...last time out was in January where I eagled 17 (left green) with a holed 145 yard third shot ! Rancho is a great course! And at 24 bucks weekday with the city card, an absolute steal!

      I have played PGA West, at least one or two courses in there, but I am not sure if I've played any of the courses used to host the Hope. I played a course that I think both isn't PGA West and is host to the Hope a few years ago, possibly at a TST outing, but I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right one. I have played Rancho Park plenty of times (exactly half of my sub-80 rounds were there!) and Wilson/Harding.  Rancho Park might be my favorite golf course among those I've played more than a half dozen times.   Hopefully I'll get a chance to play TPC Scottsdale, maybe this August or September, and at some point I think there was a PGA Tour event in Las Vegas, I should get up there and play those course(s).
