Any golf clubs losing their Manager

There was a piece in the Irish Independent today about golf clubs in Ireland getting rid of their General Managers and the problems this is going to cause. There are a few names listed that US folk are going to recognise.

It is a crazy policy to let one of the key figures go, as a general manager keeps the whole place running. Is this something that's happening in the USA?

I sure hope not at my home course....sure most everyone is thinking the same.

I havent seen any GMs whacked yet, however, I have seen a ton of lower level management let go at a few courses - throwing more and more on the GM and making customer service suffer a bit.
