Complete newb here but I have to say, the FT-i seems so nice. I bought a $50 set of clubs. 17 to be exact. They are old, but one had a training grip on it and also had a Ping Anser in there. Im starting out brand new to the game about 3 weeks ago. Went to the range, sliced 80% of my drives and was fairly discouraged but new I had some learning to do. I studied up on youtube for a solid week, went to the range, still sliced about 70% of the time. Said the the heck with it and bought an FT-i Draw. My friend has it and said its really good. Read the reviews, think I found 1 bad review in 3 days, so it sounded safe. Went to the range and HOLY **** I had some fun. Out of 100 balls I sliced maybe 10. I am hooked for life. Cant wait to start improving.

Nice buy on the FT-i, its a great improvement driver. Just keep practicing till you build up confidence with your driver, and that what it all counts.

Okay....you bought straighter shots with your driver....now how are you going to keep from slicing the rest of your clubs?

Seriously....can't stress this enough....get yourself at least one or two lessons before you engrain something that you have to "unlearn" later. Muscle memory is a powerful thing (both good and bad).

Livestrong,

Good news.. You have embraced golf and like it!

The bad news... You are teaching yourself how to play.

Do like Dub says and take some lessons. Learn how to do it right the first time. Your golf swing takes its basic shape after you play six times, so try to get started on the right track.

Plus, you will quickly recover the $$ you spend on lessons by not losing so many golf balls in Year 1.

Good luck!

Focus, connect and follow through!

Yeah I hear you guys.

My good friend was an assistant golf pro at the local club for years and he's been helping me alot. Youtube is pretty good too. My bud has a lesson set up with a friend of his from the club for 3 of us. I cant wait. I'm just so happy with the FT-i. I 100% did not believe in a club "helping" you hit it straight. I did however trust the reviews I read and decided to give it a shot. Lovin it. I still shake my head in disbelief when I hit a perfectly straight drive around 250. Im a small guy so I have some learning to do to generate some speed. I also just started p90x so hopefully I'll get a little stronger. Thanks for the comments guys.
