ok... so i have started shopping around for new Drivers. I know my current driver is about 2 or 3 generations of technology behind and looking for a little more consistancy off the tee.

I have always hit Titleist drivers for the past ten years. I really like their workability and the feedback they give you.

Based on the advice of a friend, I tried the new Ping G15 driver. Absolutely bombed it. Average drive 280-290 (i hit good ones with my current 905R around 260-270). Ball flight was a slight draw (my preferred line). Club was workable, though i had to work a little harder than with the titleist.

only one major issue. I didn't get very good feedback on impact with the club. I couldn't tell how good a shot was until i watched the ball. how big a deal do you think this is?

I never felt I needed as much feedback on my driver as I didwith saymy irons. Of you like it get it... I know I wouldn't trade in my 905r for any of the new 909s

Yuck, i hate dead feel drivers. Its up to you, if you think your getting performance then get it.

IMO feel is more important, because it gives me pleasure of hitting my driver.

My opinion...feel is overrated. For me, ball flight is everything I need to judge the quality of my shot and to derive pleasure from my shot.

With a driver, the look and feel in my hand is important, not the feel of actually hitting the shot.

I step up to my tee shots with extreme confidence with my square driver in hand. I just know I'm going to hit a straight drive...that mentality itself does more for me than the sound or feel...

This is exactly one of the reasons why I chose the Dymo2 over drivers such as TM Burner etc...

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
