When I started playing this amazing game I had a VERY VERY old set of MB mixed clubs and real WOOD woods. I got down to a 4.5 handicap with this set of irons and woods playing jr. golf. For X-mas one year my parents took me to get a new set of clubs and the sales person talked me into getting a set of Cavity Backs that were oversized. After this purchase my handicap went through the roof and the quality of my game went down hill fast, I believe my handicap went up to a 12 or 13 in the matter of a year. The only thing that stayed the same or maybe improved was my short game (wedges and putting). Does this make any since at all to anyone? I'm now 22 and thinking about getting back into tournament golf as I am now back down to about a 10 handicap and was just wondering if I should invest in some new MB irons in hopes that it will improve my game again.

thanks

I dont know how much time you spent with the new clubs, going from an older set of irons to the cavity backs, I would think you would need some time to get use to the look and feel of the irons. Just for grins, do you still have that old set, if so, how do you hit them?
