What are your opinions on the two of these. I know the select is the new one and the style is a couple years older but is their really that much difference between the two because Im sure the studio style can be had for less. Thanks.

I don't have a ton of experience with the Style models....I think they came out in 2005 or so and ran through 2007. Many of them are 35". All the ones I ever seen and messed with had the German Stainless Steel inserted face. Because they are older you will see them going for less on ebay.

I have more experience with the the Select series as I've been gaming one for the past year. It's also stainless but not inserted. There are more options for different lengths and weights. You can have the weights changed by the CS if you ever wanted. There are also a wider range of models in the Select line....mid-mallets, Neworts, and now and aluminum mallet the Kombi. The Kombi comes in an broomstick version as well. The Select series can be had new for $225 on ebay and some stores if you shop around really hard........$300 if you are paying full retail.

the only real difference is that the style has an inset and is older.

thanks guys. One more question. Does the insert in the Style really change anything or just makes a little different feel

The German Stainless Steel is a nicer feeling stainless by some opinions.

I can't disern too much of a difference.

I really like the heft and feel of the SSN2MS that I'm gaming now. The putter just fits my eye and feels good.

I'd get whichever putter "did" it for you. Who knows....perhaps it will change from time to time and you'll want to rotate 'em in and out of the bag.

i tried them side by side before i purchased the studio style, the older model just feel much more better than the studio select IMO, and it sinks more putts for me^^

That and the whole interchangeable weight system, but I guess that's not a reall difference????

youll have more fitting options with the studio selects. The newport models set up and look identical from address. The studio styles sound slightly different, and they are 10 grams lighter than the select models. But you can change the weighting around. I belive the studio selects are slightly firmer off of the face than the studio styles, but i dont advocate one over the other.
