this is a very simple question and i'm having a hard time trying to word it correctly.

is it possible for my swing to have gotten so used to the 10.5* loft that if i switch to a 9.5* my trajectory will become outrageously low? i understand the switch will produce a lower trajectory (which is what i want) but i obviously i dont want to be hitting balls down the fairway that are only 10feet off the ground. i guess i just want to know if its possible that a driver with 1 degree less loft would really be that much harder to hit.

It'll be about 1 degree lower with a little less spin. This is assuming all else remains the same - club length, shaft (stiffness, type, trimming, etc.), grip, clubhead model, swingweight, etc.

ok, thanks. thats what i was assuming. i just wanted to make sure it wouldnt produce some type of abnormality.

Just keep everything else the same - including how you swing at it - and that'll be about the only result. You may see slightly more draw/fade curve, too.
