I just wanted to give a heads up to any forum members who have been considering buying an AR-15. This morning I was sitting here drinking coffee and browsing budsgunshop.com and they posted this deal last night:

This is about as good of a deal on an AR as I have seen in long time. If did not already have one, I would be all over this. I am not affiliated with Buds in any way other than being a happy customer.

I've not heard of Doublestar but if their quality is good that is a great deal. I'd rather have a 6.8 myself. .223 ammo is getting hard to find around me.

There is a reason that's only $659. As the owner of a full custom AR-15 shop, trust me on that one. Don't depend on that weapon to do anything more than plink pop cans on the weekends. Otherwise, I fear, it could get you killed.

The RRA isn't a whole lot better. I know that I wouldn't trust one. I've seen how they are built and just how often they break. Like a lot of AR's out there, they are just fine for casual use and will perform well under light stress. Once you really start to push them however, they come apart like a set of plastic golf clubs.
