New Driver vs New Shaft

i buy the sleeves for the r9 online and get the shafts from a guy in australia.

I just do the shaftfitting myself - its easy.

allows you to play about with shafts at very little cost!

I think everyone is missing the point here. You cannot just go and buy a shaft and think it will solve you driving worries. The V2 you used that was your friends was that a Burner head? The problem you are going to encounter with reshafting your Burner is that not many club fitters will still have that head in their fitting cart so having screw in shafts for you to try might be difficult. My advice would be go get fitted for a new driver and shaft. I was recently fitted for a 909F2 with a Dianama shaft, and then later a 909h with a Dianama shaft so when it came time to replace my driver I thought a 909D2 with Diamana would be the only option but I couldn't hit it, ended up with a Dcomp with a Matrix shaft. Go get on a launch monitor and get professionaly fitted else you will never know what shaft really suits you.

I think I am goings to go to Golf Galaxy tomorrow. Thank you for everyone's advice. My friend had a 4950 Sasquatch head on his V2.

Well, I bought the 3 wood and driver new, every thing else was from ebay, but the advantage of spending a bit with a small store is they tend to give discount when I return. 10% off most things I buy there now.

I ended up getting the Grafalloy ProLaunch Red. This shaft gave me a good launch angle and spin rate. I did not expect to walk out of that store with that shaft in my hand. The shaft was at a very reasonable price i felt. I was hitting these shafts in Titleist 909 D3 heads. Hopefully it won't make a big difference going into my burner head.

Its a quality shaft, good choice, Low launch?

I believe it has a mid kick point in it if i remember right.
