2 Weeks till myrtle trip

Just finished up my itenarary for Myrtle.Fazio and Dye at barefoot--Caledonia and Tru Blue-and Heritage down south.Rivers Edge and carolina national up north.Throw in the Dunes and Thistle--Crow Creek-one of the Pearls nad it is 18 the first day we land and 36 a day for the next six or the Mrs gets tired which ever comes first.

Definitely some great courses there. The Barefoot Dye course is really nice; lots of bunkers too.

Haven't played any of the others but I've heard River's Edge is extremely nice and the Dunes is always top rated in Myrtle. I'm sure you'll have a great trip.

Have played Rivers Edge quite a few times but not since they put the new grass on the greens.They call it Paspalum and it is supposed to be sodium tollerant which is good for low water table and brackish water leakage.I will report.

Stayed at Barefoot last time we were there and the whole resort was phenomenal. The Norman course was being aerated when were there but the other 3 were great. The Dye course was my favorite I'd have to say. Guy had such a hard-on for waste bunkering it's ridiculous. Should be a great trip.

One thing I have found over the years in Myrtle is that it don't rain for long.Storms do blow in but they blow out just as fast.

Well let me restate my last post.You do get wet in Myrtle and we got good and wet.Only played 36 3 days out of the week due to rain but played all the morning rounds relativly dry.New greens at Rivers Edge were nice and Tru Blue was in great shape as was caledonia.barefoot fazio and Dye were kind of beat up green wise.Tigers eye was also a little beat up.I would have figured this was the time of the year the courses should have been in good shape but several were not.But it was still myrtle and we had a good if not wet time.
