I have played a few rounds with some of the guys on this site and it is great. We often have 10-20 person outings and get a skins game and other side bets going... it is a nice way to play with new people and have fun doing so.

Are most of the people you get paired with gamblers?

well... the times I've went out it has been with a larger organized game where we knew there would be $20 skins and some of the guys made cart bets. Another time I played with just the guy who runs the site and two other guys, and we made some small cart/team bets, and played $1 per hole, but nothing big. I have never went out with just couple regular guys on the site w/o Rick, but intend to do so in the future. I would assume that NOT everyone would want to bet... but I enjoy it either way.

      Day 51 (yesterday was 50, not 59 -- that was a typo).  I didn't have a ton of time today.  I hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron in my practice room.   Amazingly, after this I did the ShotScope analysis of yesterday's round;  my approach play was at the 5 hcp level.  That's pretty darn good, but unfortunately for my score, some of that came from hitting a few good recovery shots.  But I also hit some really good approach shots that weren't from trouble!

      Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.

      I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.
