The way you smell afterward.

Anyone know where I'm coming from?... I notice it every time I get in my car to leave the course after a round.. and I can just smell the dirt covering my whole body.

Drugs are bad. M'kay.

I change my swing every time I don't shoot par for the course.

That's one of the best parts of golf. It's way better than sitting around getting greasy over the course of the day doing nothing.

You wanna smell bad...Try a hard practice at rowing crew and not immediately changing your spandex or being in several races over the course of the day. THAT is a narsty stench.

Also, being the field for weeks with one uniform and nothing more than baby wipes to keep yourself clean. The worst part about that is you don't even know how bad you smell until you shower and go back to where all your dirty stuff is.

yeah I do tend to hit some fat shots, I think that's how I screwed up my left elbow, my game hasn't been the same since...... but.. yeah, sometimes it just seems that if you went golfing, then you're gonna smell that way.. I wouldn't be surprised if you smelled that way if you just walked from start to finish from tee to green for 18 holes, and didn't even play.. it's like the atmosphere of a golf course does that to you. It seems to be your shirt that you smell. If I change my shirt, then I can sometimes go without showering after a round.

Yeah I think it's good to have a hobby, I like golf, but that smell makes me sick. I'm taking up bowling once it gets too cold to golf here.

Oh, yeah I do notice that... What if I get my own ball though? I figured bowling balls stink like that cuz of everyone eating pizza or whatever and bowling and not washing their hands and stuff.

I don't notice but my wife notices. I can never not tell I played. She says it smells like metal and grass.

I can see an odour concern in July or August, but you work up a sweat and/or get covered in dirt in October? Are you sure you're talking about golf? Is there a new kind of golf that I'm unaware of?

Try always walking.

Actually the worst part for me is the way my legs always get dirty and funky. Not a bad smell kind of funk but more a fertilizer/chemical spray residue. That's kind of scary when you think about it (there is a certain amount of absorption through your skin with those kinds of things). That is one thing I like about playing when the temperature begins to drop because you wear long pants, but long pants are a tough sell when the temp starts heading towards 100.

Yeah, in the hotter summer months, it's way worse. But I honestly can still smell it, even if I just hit the driving range that day.

I take a divot with every iron shot, and about 50% of the time, it's just the right amount of divot. But if you're taking divots at all, then I guess the dirt that flies in the air covers your clothes over the course of the round.

I don't know what to say. You must have once sensitive nose. Have you ever heard of truffles?

BEST THINGS ABOUT GOLF:

1. Winning money or a tournament

2. Hit a "career shot" or making a critical putt when it really counts.

3. The complete feeling of satisfaction just after impact when you have hit a perfect shot. You want to look up and see the result.

4. Beautiful girls driving the beverage carts.

5. The 19th hole, no matter whether the round was so-so or GREAT!

6. The look on the face of your opponent after you have just whupped him---especailly if he had you down early in the match.

WORST THINGS ABOUT GOLF:

1. After a round, a member of your group or a "drop by" who wants to recount his or her round shot by shot, and hole by hole.

2. People who try to weasel out of paying you just after you whupped him or her.

3. Slow players who think they have a "RIGHT" to play as slowly as they want because they paid the same amount in green fees as you did.
