I'm seriously thinking about making the jump from the original Titleist AP2 irons to the Titleist 710mb irons. I know they will be a learning curve and my scores will most likely suffer for a while, but I've always wanted to play mb blades and feel they could actually help my game in the long run.

Before i purchased the AP2s a couple years ago, I was playing Cleveland CG4s. I switched to the AP2s for more feedback and my game/iron play really improved. Typically my iron play is quite good. I'm looking to hear about how difficult the transition you think my transition would be. Any feedback is appreciated. FWIW, I'm only looking to buy 5-pw as I play hybrids to replace the 3 and 4 irons. Thanks in advance!

I don't think it would be that much of an adjustment. If the club looks good to you and you feel confident that will help. Definitely get fitted before you buy. I hit blades growing up and still like to put them in the bag. I have AP2's and 660's. The feel of hitting a solid shot with a forged blade is irreplaceable IMO.

switching to blades will not help your game fyi. There is a reason 75% of the pga pros dont use them! Stick with your ap2's they are very solid clubs and have great workability.

i will be the one to rain on your parade 9 handicaps shouldn't use blades but then again if you only play for fun no tournaments only club championships and stuff and you think it will improve the amount of fun you have well playing then you go right for it

I agree and disagree. I think you should go to a blended set if anything, not pure blades. I had some Hogan Edge and as a 15 index I got my titleist 695mb and in three months i was a 7 index, and when I got my blended set 735cm, I found the best combo 5-7 muscle cavity, 8-P blade. Try the ZB blended set if you want blades.
