Ive had a previous thread about r9 460 or r9 460 tp but just wanted to know what peoples thoughts are about these 2 clubs! apart from the mwt(movable weigh technology) what other differences are there and is it worth paying that little bit extra for the R9 when the R9 460 might be fine!!??

I never hit an R9 but I did own an R9 460 for a couple of months.

I didn't like it.

The adjustable face was not a feature I needed. I gamed it square after trying all the positions.

I found the head to be rather dull. Great swings would result in only mediocre distance. I never really busted a strong drive with it although I know I put the swing on it.

It was fairly forgiving, though.

I replaced it with the driver in my sig line. I went "backwards" to an 07 model and think I'll be much happier.

Good luck....perhaps you'll like it....but for the same money, the G10 is a much hotter and equally forgiving stick. Both are selling around here for ~$250.

i have just looked at ping site and it recommends the G15 draw for me!! To be honest a lot of people are saying that about the R9 losing distance and not sounding great so maybe the ping route might be a better option!!

I have the R9 460 and very happy with it. I previously had the 09' Burner, but it was just far too light for me. The R9 just feels more solid and the weighting is much better for me. Also, the R9 fairways are awesome. I have the 3-wood and it is by far the best fairway I have ever hit.........
