Like Calc said, if you have a San Diego residents card you can get on Torrey Pines for cheap. Same goes with most courses on HI.

I live near Rustic, and I don't think it's

THAT great. Tierra Rejada,Moorpark CC, and Olivas Links are much more better links type courses in the VC area.

Rock Hollow in Peru, IN was ranked in the top 100 American public courses in 2004 I think their rate was about $48 with cart.

Old Works - #67 by Golf Digest = $29

Old Works in Montana is listed as No. 1 (by price) in GD's ranking of Top 100 public courses.

Yup...Old Works in Anaconda, Montana is the cheapest Nicklaus course I've ever played.

A lot of the posts on this don't seem to get the theme that the OP seemed to intend... it isn't how much YOU happened to pay, it's how much it normally costs to play the course. To the guy who listed Pebble (and several others for work outings)... not even remotely in the running. It may have been free for you, but somebody had to pay, and pay big.

    • Great year last year. Who winning this year could be another special story? Brooks? Spieth? Or Aberg? An AM? I dont know if anything could top last year
    • I love Rancho Park too!  I don't get out there much due to the 405 issues (Im in Santa Clarita) but I do try and get out there every now and then...last time out was in January where I eagled 17 (left green) with a holed 145 yard third shot ! Rancho is a great course! And at 24 bucks weekday with the city card, an absolute steal!
    • I have played PGA West, at least one or two courses in there, but I am not sure if I've played any of the courses used to host the Hope. I played a course that I think both isn't PGA West and is host to the Hope a few years ago, possibly at a TST outing, but I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right one. I have played Rancho Park plenty of times (exactly half of my sub-80 rounds were there!) and Wilson/Harding.  Rancho Park might be my favorite golf course among those I've played more than a half dozen times.   Hopefully I'll get a chance to play TPC Scottsdale, maybe this August or September, and at some point I think there was a PGA Tour event in Las Vegas, I should get up there and play those course(s).
