Check out the Amazon reviews on that Putt n' Hazard system, as it was ranked a strong 1 out of 5 (1 is the worst score).

Amazon Page for ClubChamp Putt n' Hazard

It is odd to have a simulated water hazard and bunker inches from the hole, unless that was their clever way to explain having ball returns for missed putts so close to the hole.

There's another putting mat-system that allows adjustable breaks by Extreme Greens, but they are a little more expensive (from $459 and up).

2011 Goals:
* Improve club-head speed to 90 mph with the driver
* Ensure increased speed does not compromise accuracy
* Prevent overextending on the back-swing (left-arm is bending too much at the top)
* Relax arms initially at address ( too tense)* Play more full rounds (failed from 2010)

Other than the mat and net I would say the other items are a waste of money and provide absolutely no benefit.

- Tru-break: I have never used this, but I can guess it will not roll anything like a break on a real green. I think you are better off with something like the "boomerang" putting mat. I have one and it works great. I think I paid $30-$40...

- Teego: Really??? Just use your club and rake another ball in.....FREE

- Chipping net: Just chip to a stick or some other object in the yard......FREE

You would probably be better off putting on the carpet. But the mat and net are a good idea.

A quote from Kris
...is that college bball really isn't "lower tier". The better teams have their rosters filled with guys who could play in the NBA. hell, guys used to come straight from high school to the NBA. I really don't think there's much of a difference skill-wise between the two.

FYI, I bought a net off of eBay I think for around $70. It was brand new and has worked fine. $160 seems fairly high. I would buy a cheaper net and spend more money on a quaility mat.

    • Well, I have a 2 hybrid, 4 hybrid and then play 6 iron onwards.  My best clubs are probably the 4 hybrid and the PW.  What I find is that loft is your friend in general which is why my 4 hybrid is so much better than my 2 hybrid.  Definitely disproportionately more so than the 5 or so degrees of difference in loft.  If you have hybrids, play them.  And consider loft as your friend.  Invariably you will get up to a loft where anything less will not get you more distance because of your club head speed.  Essentially the faster you swing the less lofted a club you can hit effectively.  For me it is probably a 4 hybrid and maybe a 7 iron though I could improve both with practice
    • Off to my home state of Massachusetts this morning. 9 this afternoon,  18 tomorrow,  and 18 on Saturday. Hoping for some good scores but will be just happy playing with good friends.
